Promotion Reflects Growth of Construction Management/Project Management Business
J Street Development, an affiliate of The J Street Companies, today announced that Colleen Scott has been promoted to Vice President.
J Street Development Sr. Vice President and Principal, Jay Bothwell, said, “Colleen has been a rising star at J Street, earning the respect and admiration of both clients and colleagues based on her skills with managing both ground-up development and construction and a broad spectrum of third- party project management jobs for clients.”
Colleen is currently focused on a variety of third party projects including new construction, renovations and tenant interiors. She is within weeks of the completion of 111 K Street, a ground-up, 90,000 square foot, Class A office condominium project in NoMa and is the Owner’s Representative to The Washington Center for their new intern housing project. Colleen is also involved in a number of interiors projects for third party clients. J Street has been growing its Project Management/ Construction Management business in response to demand for project management services based on the company’s strong history in development and client services.
Prior to joining J Street, Colleen spent 11 years at Cafritz Company, eventually leading their Project Management Departments. She has worked on a variety of new construction, building renovations and tenant and capital improvement projects, totaling more than 2 million square feet. Projects she has worked on have received NAIOP and Washington Building Congress Craftsmanship Awards.
Colleen is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW DC), the DC Building Industry Association (DCBIA) and the Washington Building Congress. She is a graduate of the Pratt Institute, where she earned her degree in Architecture.
