J Street Companies celebrates groundbreaking for One Preston Station in Celina, Texas
On Thursday July 29th, J Street Companies celebrated the groundbreaking of One Preston Station, a new 240-unit multifamily community located in Celina Texas. The project is one of two class A multifamily developments under construction in Celina and will be the southern gateway to the city’s historic downtown.
From project inception, J Street had a vision; quintessential small-town Texas meets the convenience of 21st century living, combining to create a sense of unique space and the ultimate destination location. Everything from the leasing center, modeled after a 1950’s era gas station, complete with faux gas pumps, to the splashes of “bobcat orange” throughout the property, a tribute to the town’s beloved football team, work together to create Celina character with modern style.
“The City of Celina has a bold Downtown Master Plan that will create for our residents a spectacular area to fulfill our Life Connected vision. We are pleased to welcome One Preston Station as a part of that plan and look forward to this luxury multi-family project complementing the exciting growth in our city,” said Jason Laumer, City Manager.
One Preston Station, designed by Sage Architects, will contain 11 floorplans ranging in size from 650 square feet to 1,400 square feet. Additionally, residents will have access to a significant number of amenities including a large pool with cabanas, a clubhouse, dog park, and walking/biking trails. The community also boasts numerous sustainable features including a community garden, EV car charging stations, and a 20,000-gallon irrigation cistern.

J Street Companies secured HUD 221 (d)(4) financing through Crain Mortgage, and NE Construction, LLP has been selected as the General Contractor. NE Construction has extensive experience in the North Texas multifamily market and have built numerous HUD projects.
J Street anticipates that the first of eight buildings will deliver in late Spring 2022, with immediate leasing opportunities available. The balance of the buildings will deliver throughout the summer and fall of 2022.
